Our Story
Our Story
Empower4Life started as a vision during my MBA thesis and it's now coming to life in 2017. I love to review products and share my findings with my friends so they've asked me to start up a site and share it to more people. So here goes...
Meet the Team
It's starting as me; however, I'm hoping add some friends to add to help.
Happily married to Todd Manthey and we live in Wisconsin.
We run Tile-It Designs, LLC and I also work full-time as a Systems Support Manager-IT for Kohler. I have Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Lakeland University.
I love adventures. I love trying and reviewing products and telling others about them. I've been known to be an "Open Book" so why not share it on a website with others. I love reading, writing, photography, spending time with family and friends, traveling, music, hunting. Most of all love spending time with our furry kids - Coors and Latte LuLu (our chocolate labs).
Where it All began
The journey started as "Empowering Women for Life" initially started in 2010 during the final year of my MBA. It was part of a final project in running a business and I chose a non-profit. My dream at the time read:
"Empowering Women for Life is a dream of mine to leave a legacy and touch other lives by giving women hope when they believe all hope is gone and giving women the courage to open their hearts and learn to support one another through life’s journeys."
I wanted to share my various life lessons and have other women share those with me and a group in a safe environment without fear of judgement. The concept was to embrace life and empower women to share life’s journeys with each other and empower us to openly communicate and express ourselves to help others as they may be struggling through the same issues. We struggle though different life lessons and sometimes we truly feel alone in the world. With this group, I wanted to make sure everyone had a voice and everyone had a chance to learn they are not alone. Be open and transparent with those you trust and you will learn more than you ever knew about them. Self-help books are wonderful but try them in a group setting and they are life-changing. The more you share and talk with others; the more empowerment and enlightened you become.
There is a quote I love that says "Girls Compete / Women Empower" and that's the life I want to live.
